Flytard

Is it a bird?

Is it a plane?

Is it a superhero?

Alas No. It’s Logan.
The Upside down, spinning, FLYTARD.

Yes, that’s right. Logan did something clumsy and got stuck in a flying animation. I told her to try everything I could think of, walking, running, sitting (and just look how demented that looked) teleporting. The only thing that she couldn’t do try was “Stop Animating Me” because dopey, i-wrecked-the-inteface Viewer2 Linden hid it or otherwise removed it in 2.4. In the end, I just had to wait it out while she relogged.

Cat on Head

Miller: so is no one going to ask?
Chiva Vavoom: no, we are too polite
Miller: well i will then
Miller: Logan
Sandry Logan: what?
Miller: Don’t say what, it’s rude!
Blu Sparkle: hehe
Sandry Logan: what Miller?
Miller: that’s better
Sandry Logan: what Miller?
Miller: oh yes…..
Blu Sparkle: hehehe
Miller: Logan?
Sandry Logan: come on
Miller: why do you have a CAT on your head?
Sandry Logan: a cat?
Blu Sparkle: hehehehe
Miller: yes
Sandry Logan: i do?
Miller: yes
Sandry Logan: oh no!
Miller: yes
Sandry Logan: My beautiful new hat!
Blu Sparkle: hehehehehe
Miller: Aaaahhhhhaaaaahhaaaaahhhhhaaaahahahahaaaaaaaaaa !!

Beautiful new hats, with or without cats, may be purchased from Miss Reghan Staaf at the Hatpins store.

Blu had a bit of bother logging in, after her hair and prims had rezzed, she was still in a bit of a retarded looking crouch.

“Whaaaaaa happened to my avatard?” she cried out to me and Logan.

“Always look on the bright side we said, at least your Yay still works.”

A Store is born

Today Logan opened her new store with the Robins and the Wood Chopping and all the farm accessories. She insisted on calling it Sandry’s despite all my advice to call it Logan’s so that people would know who’s store it is. I even said she could call it Miller’s if she wanted. But no, it’s called Sandry’s. Here we are standing outside the gate with the sign over the top.

All across the land, dawns a brand new morn,
This comes to pass, when a store is born.

Shadowed

Yayyyyy! My tail has got a shadow.
Do I sound like something from a bad secret agent story.

UPDATE: Following the receipt of over 3001 e-cards requesting information on how you get shadows in the SL Viewer, this is how we did it:

  1. Enable the Devlop Menu (Ctrl+Alt+Q)
  2. Open the Rendering sub menu. (It might be best to click on the tramlines at the top of the Rendering sub menu as it pops out. This tears it off and makes it stay on the screen so that you can choose several options from it without having to reopen it all the time.)
  3. Click on Framebuffer Objects
  4. The Lighting and Shadows options should now become available, so click on that and then click on
    Shadows from Sun/Moon/Projectors
    SSAO and Shadow Smoothing

Some things to bear in mind:
This doesn’t work on all machines but I don’t know why. You’ll have to do some googling to look for other solutions.
This takes up a lot more resources than normal SL viewing. It might make your shoulder pet walk verrrry slooooowlllllyyyy or it might prevent your tail from twitching.
If your machine is finding it is hard work to render the shadows, it might crash when you take a photo, which is a bit sad because the shadows look great in photos.

If you need to do this in Imprudence, you can find it in the Advanced Tab of the Preferences Menu. There is a check box for Enable Shadows.
