Unless you’ve been living under a rock (and I know that some of my readers do live in some odd places) you will know that my friend, super-model, judge and fashion queen, Roe Woodford has started her own company ProFashion Productions. Today was the opening party. I went along to rub shoulders with the glamourous models and drink free champers.
We arrived ten minutes early and the joint was already jumpin’.
…and the models had already guzzled all the champagne.
I don’t remember much of this party either, except that there were a LOT of fireworks
…Aztek, Canis and Widget enjoyed the 80s music and danced around Az’s handbag
and Remmy and Renate got plastered and danced until daylight wearing some very silly hats.
The VKC Thanksgiving Party was at Canis Beach this year. People, dogs, penguins and bears gathered to dance in the agility area and stuff themselves full of turkey.
Cats can come too.

At the end of the party LilWitch lifts Erie onto the table to draw the prize winner from the hat, but he’s distracted by his chance to get the Turkey. The prize winners can wait!
And so it came to pass that it was time to gather together again and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
St. Patrick’s real rez day was on March 17, but we couldn’t wait any longer and we had our party on the weekend before.
We were also celebrating the rez days for some of the Turing Isle residents who had been sick on their real rez days (or who are too retarded to remember when their rez day actually is). The celebratards were:

When Blu H said that Irish Ted was coming, I thought he was at least gonna be a bloke a with a fiddle and I was hoping for a whole band. Little was I expecting this.
But, looking on the positive side, we had Leprechauns too.

I made a boo boo and I didn’t write down the name of this lady who was rockin’ out with her monkey. But, I think it’s Maharet Wrigglesworth. (And if I’m wrong, y’all will let me know, right?)

Nobody actually knows how old Cazaluff is, we think it’s not as old as Logan but probably too big a number to be stored in an integer in many programming languages. Apparently she was rezzed in RL on 1st March but that’s a Monday this year and Cazaluff would be in school so we had the party on the Saturday before instead. You’re probably wondering why, if Cazaluff is so old, she will be in school on her birthday, unless of course she’s the teacher. I’m not sure I understand it either, but she’s definitely not the teacher, I’ve seen her in her uniform.
So anyway, it all started like this. Logan and I Gimped up a party invite…
and then Logan and Blu called up Blu Heron for catering, decorating and instigating…
and Blu called up Tone to come and play the Blues.
So, come the morning of the party (or the evening depending on where you live), Cazaluff and Logan are in the Dog Park hanging out and helping the visitors and Blu and Blu are in the courtyard getting prepared. Logan has already blown their cover in a careless IM, but Cazaluff is blissfully unaware…
Tone sends out a Group Announcement inviting all his fans to come to Cazaluff’s party and Cazaluff is still unaware (-:
Finally Logan puts out a call on the Tannoy and Cazaluff comes down to the courtyard to see what all the fuss is about. I don’t know what “Blimey!” is in Viking, but we think she probably said it.
But it doesn’t take her long to get her bearings and soon she’s rockin’ out in front of the stage.
Not long after that the party is in full swing and people are coming in from all over to congratulate Cazaluff and dance to the blues.

It was around this time that the Miller Phone rang. It was John Travolta. He said he was making Night Fever 2010 and wanted to know if Dad would be in it. I took his number and said I’d call him back …maybe.

So then Roe fetched the golf cart and we all leapt about to go on a little tour…

Logan and I are looking kinda worried as Roe carefully negotiates the dancers, but Alex is looking very chilled.

A few minutes later we are even more worried as she tries to throw us all into the lake…

…but it’s OK, she wasn’t going to drown us, she just wanted us to have a good view of the baby ducks…

Just when we were starting to relax and enjoy the ride, we find out that the golf cart can FLY! Now we’re more worried than ever…

Thankfully, it’s a short flight with a safe landing, and I breathe a long sigh of relief as Roe abandons the cart by the club house and walks away…

My relief is, however, short lived as Blu jumps into the driver’s seat and Logan jumps in beside her…

Cazaluff is riding shotgun as we charge across the little bridges with reckless abandon.

We spot a long abandoned golf cart in the woods. There is no sign of the driver or passengers. I guess the bears even ate their bones.

And we wish Karys was here to help us push the cart up the steep slope…

Before Blu takes us back to the garage and slings the golf cart tyres-a-screaming into the parking bay in a very deft manoeuvre to rival Elwood’s driving.

Finally we go back to the Clubhouse where Logan has a couple of Tequila’s and passes out on the table whilst Blu and Alex torment me singing and doing the La-La-La-Laaaaaa Dance.

Then they meet up with Dad and do a whole bottle of Tequila before they all pass out on the table.

So today was Widget’s Launch Party
Widget was wondering what all the fuss was about
and wondering why there were so many people there
There being a lot of people there, some of them were all grey…
everything was going slowly and Dad got stuck in a yay.
Rico got stuck in a smile. But that’s OK, if I could make those dogs I’d be grinning from ear to ear too.
And Dad got abducted by aliens who examined him erm… thoroughly and sent him back with a new shape and a new grey suit.
Me and Logan didn’t stay long, we left so that other people could come into the sim. Even though it was very crowded, it sounds like everyone had a good time.
You know that place that I said I wasn’t allowed to talk about and take pictures of? (Not the one with the dancing girls and the poles, the other one, you know… the secret one?) Well, now it is not a secret.

First came the announcement from Enrico…
…me and Logan then made another one for the people on Turing Isle in the Dog Park so they would know to come too. (Actually we made that one just because we can. Logan likes sending messages to the estate and she likes hollering. Simple pleasures, eh?)
So then you press OK and you go out through the Vavoom! store and get onto the bridge, and go slowly so that you don’t fall into the water between the sims.
and oh… who’s this? It’s Dad wandering around aimlessly. He looks like a bloody tourist.
Meanwhile up in the new Plaza…
Rico is waiting for the people to come and looking apprehensive…
…Blu is busy making a few last minute adjustments…
and on the little deck by the waterside, the gulls are waiting for someone to come and feed them. But, it won’t be me I can tell you, the last time I got near the gulls, one of them stole my chips. I’m not having that happen again, chips I can bear but I don’t wanna lose a Frankenbabyburger to them. They just gobble up anything in sight, so they wouldn’t appreciate good quality fare like that. 23rd December is Logan’s birthday. Estimates vary as to her real age from 46 years old to 152 years old. We all know that she lies about her age, but that’s ridiculous. But, totally unperturbed by the age anomaly, Blu Sparkle and Blu Heron organised a party for her and a load of our mates* came over to dance in the park.

This one is our mate Pell Smith who is the very talented bassoon player in the Fontana Orchestra,
…but look again at how he is not in the snow… that’s not because he is in Japan and there wasn’t any snow (there might have been, I don’t know) but Pell was here in Second Life with us. So what happened? Well… Blu just happened to make a new island appear from beneath the waves… like magic. Look!
…but she named the island wrong, it should have been Isle of Miller.
Oh, if you are wondering what that little symbol means, it says:
No pushing anyone over so that they fall down and bruise their arse.
…so anyway we just moved the party to the new island and carried right on with more dancing…
…and balloons…
…and dogs…
…and cars…
…and Rosanna’s aeroplane (but everyone was too scared to go in that)…

…and then we ate cake.. me and Logan ate lots of cake…
…and did the Onigokko…
…and generally made a mess…
*None of the people that I invited could come, they all said that they were dancing elsewhere and needed the money from the tips. Everyone that could come thought that this was probably a blessing.
